Reviews about Jos. A. Bank

  • August 14, 2019, by William Wright
This one is late but still applies in many ways. For a long time, I had been wanting a custom tuxedo as I wear one a lot between September and June. I came in to talk with Doug about the possibility of having one done, but was not sure of my timeline and finances. Things improved a great deal between March and May so much so that I was able to put into motion my plans. Ben (assistant manager) and I talked over the options and he revealed that he had just purchased a custom suit (his discount was incredible!) and he would be happy to lead me through the entire process. Before I jumped, I wanted to think about it a little more. When I went in to tell Ben, I found out he was taking his week off for his marriage so my usual sales gal Kara Dixon took over the tape measure and we set the whole thing to be done. That date was April 26. Kara measured me three ways to Sunday, noted all my circumstances and got all the information down. When I was done, I felt like I'd really been gone over with a microscope, so to speak. In the mean time while waiting for the tuxedos to arrive, I latched on to some other merchandise which would be vital: tuxedo shirts, bow ties and cummerbunds, cuff links and studs (you need to make a black bow tie shape set of studs and cufflinks), socks and suspenders. What really threw me though was when the tuxedos arrived. I actually beat Ben's suit by a week. The fit was INCREDIBLE!! Both tuxedos were like they had been fit with my body on the table, which it was in a way. I mean the fit on these tuxedos is so beautiful, I actually cried when I got home from joy. Finally, I have two gorgeous tuxedos that will be proportioned to me and me alone. No rental can ever achieve that (not that I would be caught in a rental). Even my Joseph Bank Executive series tuxedo with alterations is a second tier garment now. I've had opportunity to wear my Midnight Blue tuxedo once. It will get another wearing to my High School Class Reunion (and it's what I bought them for) in July, along with a new shirt and a new orange/black bow and cummerbund and new patent leather shoes. And now for the bonus: I had enough bucks after all of that, to buy an Executive level nested suit that was on sale and got one in a navy. I love it as well, even though it isn't custom. I'm so pleased with everything and mighty pleased with both Kara and Ben (Kara's been fitting me for about 6 years now) and their holding up of customer service, I cannot recommend Bank highly enough! Best place in Spokane, WA to buy men's clothing. And the only place to do custom garments without breaking the bank. Of course, I was able to get mine when there was a weekend of two for one going on.I might also add that I never (hardly never) show up in anything less than formal clothing as it is the best way to get measured and that means bow tie etc. as well as French Cuffs. But the best part I like the best was being able to cheat the parking meter while getting measured. That was the perfect end to a great night of clothes shopping. So if you are in Spokane, I highly urge you to come into Jos. A. Bank and treat yourself to some great customer service and come out looking like an ad for men's furnishings. You'll be glad you did.
